If you are one of those who wants to learn to freestyle rap, you will find that some people will tell you that it is easy to learn yet others will tell you that it is rather difficult. I can explain to you how you can learn this by using the 3 P’s. The three P’s are Practice, Practice and Practice.
P #1 – Practice Your Rhyming
Choose any word and find a word to rhyme with it. Pick any subject for your rap. Write as much groups of rhyme that you find to go with your subject. Go back through your own groups of rhymes and choose the best ones that go with your subject.
P #2 – Practice Your Flow and Freestyling
You will practice rapping in the moment or on the spot. Whenever you have a couple of minutes to practice, start rapping. Rap about anything that’s on your own mind, or everything that surrounds you. When you run out of something to say, start stating things that do not seem to make any sense.
The idea is to continue to say something until something comes to mind even if sounds like nonsense. This is how you will learn to freestyle rap. Keep in mind that actual freestyle is rapping from the top of your head with nothing written down. This is why it is so important to practice.
P #3 – Practice Your Beat-Making
Your creation of beats will be the 3rd part of your total freestyle rap package. So you need to practice making your different beats. You need to practice coordinating your beats with your flow and your freestyle. Make sure that the lyrics that you have written flow well with your beats.
As you can see in order to learn to freestyle rap, it is necessary to make this an essential part of your life and everything you do. The further that you practice, the greater you will become. So continue to work on your 3 P’s.
